Windows 10
- No Hibernate/Sleep option in the Start -- Power (Dell Precision 5510)
- Some update disabled Hibernate/Sleep, disappear Hibernate/Sleep entries. There are two problems I found for this.
- Disabled Hibernate: Use
powercfg
to check the status.
- powercfg /h on ... enable hibernate (powercfg /h /? gives you the help of /h option)
- Disabled Sleep: S3 state seems a problem of this system.
- Disable S3 state with the BIOS Power setting.
- Control Panel -- Power Options -- Choose what the
power buttons do (in the left panel) -- Change settings
that that are currently unavailable: Add Sleep (also Hibernate if needed)
- Windows 10 Installation Error 0x80300024
- It seems multiple disk connection causes the
problem. Disconnet all disks and run the installer
again. (2019-6-26(Wed))
- Wireless network keeps
disconnecting (often, frequently disconnection) (DELL Precision
5510 with Windows 10 to an O2 router)
- Problem: When I use DELL Precision 5510 with Wifi with O2 router (O2
box 6431). Restart the router only solve the problem temporary.
- What I see: It seems 802.11n of DELL Precision 5510 has a
problem with my router. I am not sure the problem is which side
(notebook or router). But these two stop communicate after a
while. The router can still connect to Mac book and Fairphone,
but the DELL notebook cannot connect to the router.
- Solution I found: The following solved my problem
- From Windows 10, Setting, search Device manager
- Open breakdown Network adapters
- Click Intel(R) Dual Band Wireless AC-8260 Properties to
pop up a window
- Choose Advanced tab
- Select 802.11n Channel Width for 2.4 GHz to 20 MHz only
(not Auto)
