Fakes I believed them as true

• "Let them eat cake" was said by Marie Antoinette to the French people leads to the revolution.

  Jean-Jacques Rousseau wrote in his Confessions a great princess said this. But not mentioned as Marie Antoinette. And the writing was established when Marie Antoinette was nine years old and she never in France at that time. So this is unlikely. She was also the one try to save the food shortage at that time and introduced potatoes in France.

  My guess that why I was tricked : Probably after the execution, the people need to justify the execution.

• The qwerty Keyboard is introduced to slow down the typing.

  The purpose of this layout is actually speed up typing without jamming. For instance, 't' and 'h' is quite common typing and assigned to left hand and right hand, 'q' and 'u', and so on.

  My guess that why I was tricked: This is controversy and interesting if slow down is true. Also qwerty is a strange word. There are some other keyboard layouts. The other may say that one reason of why they are better. So I just believe this interesting story.

  My guess that why I was tricked: It sounds like scientific and also Einstein said everything.

• Lemmings commit mass suicide to save the other Lemmings

  This is unfortunately the fake by a Disney film White Wilderness

  My guess that why I was tricked: One reason is there is a great game Lemmings. I like that game. Also, I thought Lemmings are special to have two properties: 1. They know their population, possibly they can count numbers. (Locust is a local property, so every one changes based on density. No counting mechanism needed.) 2. Lemmings choose who dies and who stays. But sadly, the film was faked, Lemmings seems not be able to count at least not be able to more than 10, Lemmings has no dictator who decides which one should suicide. And Lemmings can swim. Jumping from cliff can be just visit to the next island.

  My guess that why I was tricked: I read from a book Plants changed the world history. The author is a university professor. This story is quite common in Japanese blogs. However, I checked English, German, and a few other languages, I could not find the reference. I asked a few friends to look this up, but they didn't succceed. I contacted to the author, however, he didn't respond so far. I still don't know this story is true or not. But I can not find any trust-able reference yet (2023-06-07).

• Itagaki shisu tomo jiyuu ha shisezu (Even Itagaki dead, the freedom never die) was said when Itagagi was attacked.

  These words are not sure. Actually what he said or his subordinate said was changed depending on the record. The record said he or his subordinate said something after the attacker was captured by the police. We don't know what someone really said. But something "the freedom never dies". This sentence shows up in the Liberal Party (Itagaki's party)'s newspaper. Both the police report and the secret police report says differently. Also, there was a witness says differently, but the newspaper reporter cannot find the evidence.
  My guess is this is a very dramatic and nice story since he is one of the icons of protecting civil freedom. For the Liberal Party, this is a great story. So, people just believe that based on whatever really happens. Also, some LDP politicians spread these words.
